Xiaosaurus

Xiaosaurus - Meaning : little lizard

Xiaosaurus (sheow-SAWR-us), is a dubious genus of small herbivorous dinosaur of the Bathonian age (middle Jurassic, approximately 169 to 163 million years ago).

Xiaosaurus lived in the Sichuan Basin of China.

It is known only from teeth and a few isolated bones, remains too fragmentary to accurately classify the species. Xiaosaurus was a small, bipedal dinosaur about 3 feet (1 metre) long. An incomplete fossil was found in what is now China. The type species is X. dashanpensis. Xiaosaurus was named by Dong and Tang in 1983.
